Central Texas Farm Credit will unveil Downtown San Angelo’s newest sheep statue on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The ceremony will take place at 3651 South Bryant Boulevard at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
The sheep, Cash-Ewe, was painted by Ashley Perales, owner of Pop of Color.
One side of the fiberglass sculpted sheep will represent the farming community in the San Angelo area with pictures of cotton and wheat fields. The other side of the sheep will represent the ranching community in the San Angelo area with a picture of a cow/calf pair near a windmill and stock tank.
“We are honored to be a part of tradition that is distinctly unique to San Angelo,” Wade Polk, CTFC San Angelo branch manager, said. “Cash-Ewe represents our connection to the community, the Concho Valley, and to the agricultural industry. We invite you to come by and meet the newest member of the flock.”
